Our commitment to accessibility

We strive to meet and maintain the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 to Level AA across all Blackbullion platforms (our web platform, mobile app, and services). This includes:

We follow best practices from the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), and accessibility is embedded into the development lifecycle of our platform, apps, and services.

Accessibility is a core pillar of our design and engineering principles, and we work hard to ensure that new content and features meet our commitment. However, as we continue to evolve and grow, some legacy content may not yet meet full compliance — we are improving these areas on a rolling basis.

Blackbullion is continuously developing and enhancing its digital services. While we aim to meet AA standards across all experiences, some legacy content may not yet fully comply. We are actively reviewing and upgrading this content on a rolling basis.

Key accessibility features

We’ve implemented the following features to enhance accessibility across Blackbullion’s digital services:

Subtitles and captions

The majority of video content include optional subtitles. Click the "CC" button in the video player to enable captions.

Keyboard navigation

The platform is fully navigable via keyboard. Users can access learning modules, funding applications, and account settings without the use of a mouse.

Colour contrast & visual design

All content meets Level AA contrast ratios: a minimum 4.5:1 for standard text and 3:1 for larger text and interface elements. We avoid using colour as the sole means to convey information.

Responsive & scalable design

The platform works across devices and screen sizes, with support for zoom features and screen magnifiers.

Screen reader compatibility

Pages are structured with semantic HTML, logical heading hierarchies, and ARIA landmarks to support assistive technologies.

Simple language & clear structure

We use plain English, break up long paragraphs, and provide structured headings and lists to aid readability.

Ongoing improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing journey, not a one-time project. Our internal Risk Committee — with oversight of accessibility, data protection, and information security — ensures that:
