About the fund

The Overseas Emergency Financial Aid (OEFA) Fund offers discretionary financial assistance for overseas fee status students and students assessed as EU by the Student Loans Company (SLC). Applicants are assessed on a case-by case basis, and if successful, could receive a non-repayable financial award.

OEFA is designed to help to alleviate unexpected temporary financial hardship where a student’s financial emergency cannot be met from other sources of support. Please note, OEFA has limited funds so we would encourage you to apply early. Once the fund’s resources have been exhausted, it may beclosed without advanced warning.
