About the fund:
As we celebrate 125 years of William Sutton’s legacy and Clarion’s philanthropic beginnings, we’re thrilled to announce our new scholarship programme, reflecting our continued commitment to driving positive change. We are committed to opening up opportunities and supporting diversity in the built environment while keeping residents at the centre of everything we do. This is why we are offering two scholarships of £18,000.00 for undergraduate students who live or have lived in social housing, and are pursuing the study of courses related to careers in Sustainability.

What’s on offer?

💰 2 x £18,000 scholarships across 3-4 years of an undergraduate degree
🤝 Additional Support: Selected scholars will have access to mentorship, internship opportunities, and exclusive events throughout their studies

Requirements:

  • Be entering your first year of a full-time undergraduate course
  • Be paying domestic UK tuition fees
  • Currently reside in UK social housing and be able to provide proof
  • All courses eligible to apply; however, courses linked to sustainability will be prioritised, in alignment with the William Sutton Prize


Timelines:
  • Applications open: 31st March 2025
  • Applications close: 23rd May 2025
  • Shortlisted applicants notified: 13th June 2025
  • Successful students notified: 29th August 2025
